The Severnside Art Collective joined with St Helen’s church on the theme, Into the Light, where the focuses of the exhibition reflects this movement from darkness into light. Evoking a change in our state of being, to acknowledge the creative energy within all of us that within the light we are stronger than separated in the dark. Through this creative energy we face these uncertain political and environmental times together. Light is universal, we are made of light, light is within us, light is everywhere even in the darkness.

In this catalogue are some of the artists of Severnside Art Collective who have generously shared their own personal interpretations, whether it’s coming through their own difficult experiences or how our dramatic landscapes, the shifting light and reflections that imbue a sense of place within their work. We are drawn together by our love of these places and the people in this area that bridge the English and South Wales side of the River Severn that defines the Severnside Art Collective. Into the Light for the artists of Severnside Art Collective was an opportunity to share their passion for art within this community and we would like to invite you to our other events throughtout 2020 and beyond…
